April 18th, Saturday 2-4 pm: Evergreen Court Artists' Reception

April 19th, Sunday 2-4 pm: Monthly BAAA business meeting and Show & Tell. Ask for critique if you want it. Location: Upstairs classroom at the Coos Art Museum.

July 9th to 11th: Pony Village Mall, BAAA Members' Art Show

Additional local art events and opportunities

Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center

Every three months, Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center mounts an art show in the hallways of the hospital. Artists from the southern Oregon coast are invited to submit work based on a central theme. Click here for further information. Themes for 2026 are:

January-March 2026: Classic Black & White
April-June 2026: Oregon – Shades of Green
July-September 2026: Portrait of Myself/Things I Love
October-December 2026: Skyscape

Coos Bay Public Library

The library has an art wall of approximately 40 feet where local artists are invited to display their art for a period of one month on a first come first served basis. Contact Jenny Brownfield for further details. 

North Bend Public Library

The library displays works from local artists in their Conference Room, as well in two display cases. Space is available for one month.

  • Conference Room (two picture rail systems in the following dimensions: 120” 
    W x 94” H and 85” W x 90” H)
  • Tall Showcase (glass enclosed with lock in the following dimensions: 45” W x 
    57” L x 14.5” D)
  • Two Flat Showcases (glass enclosed with locks in the following dimensions: 
    27” W x 48” L x 15” D)
