Jewell Starsinger

]ewen Starsinger is a contemporary pastelist based in Coos Bay, Oregon, known for her contemplative natural style. Her interest in the textures and moods of nature's riotous color modes has been seen in her felted wan hangings for thirty years in the Arizona desert. She currently focuses on the Oregon coast for her inspiration. 

Over the past 50 years, she has developed a prolific body of work focused on recording her natural surroundings as they speak to her through the aromas and colors of creek and sky. 

Jewell participates in the local venues provided by the Bay Area Artist's Association. She is currently working on an upcoming show for the Black Market Gourmet Gallery in the fall of 2027. That will be her showcase for Coos Bay's exquisite Mingus Park in all of its transitions.
