Jenni Legate
Jenni Legate has a unique perspective on life and art. As the daughter of a USAID official, she was born in Africa and raised in Africa and Asia. As an adult, she has continued to travel and at times live abroad.
With a strong interest in the arts, Jenni has pursued numerous creative outlets throughout her adulthood, trying her hand at working with stained glass, fabric design, paper arts, ceramics, glass fusing, ceramics, and precious metal clay. Since 2015, Jenni has worked daily at developing her skills with pen, ink and watercolor. Producing patterned art has become a favorite outlet for her creative energy.
In 2024, Jenni became certified to teach the Zentangle® Method, an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. She is teaching locally at the Coos Art Museum’s studio space. Jenni’s artistic voice includes color, pattern, detail, depth, and random and organized compositions. Her current work includes Celtic knots and calligraphy.
Jenni currently serves as Secretary of the Bay Area Artist’s Association.
