Victoria Tierney lives and works in Bandon, where she has made her home since 1977. Her watercolors, pebble mosaics, colored pencil murals, photographs and set designs are all well known on Oregon's South Coast, and she has exhibited throughout the state, through the Portland Art Museum, the Coos Art Museum, and the Watercolor Society of Oregon.
She has had many solo shows over the years and her work is in collections across the country. She works in both abstract and representational styles, and she loves to travel, sketching and paining as she goes.
Victoria studied Fine Arts at the University of California, Berkley; she worked as an art director in San Francisco, New Haven, Manhattan, and Los Angeles, where she also worked with Judy Chicago at the California Institute of the Arts, and was a West Coast Correspondent for the New York Village Voice.
She has illustrated several children's books. She is an arts advocate as well as has curated many shows - for the Coos Art Museum, Harbortown Events Center, the Bandon Boardwalk, the gallery at Evergreen Court in North Bend, and the Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center in Bandon.
Her paintings may be seen in Bandon at Second Street Gallery and in Langlois at Raincoast Arts. They are also on display in the Admin Hall at the Coos Art Museum through July, 2024
